Becoming adept at strategic learning skills not only helps students be successful in school, but also helps pave the way for becoming successful in life!

In this class, students will achieve the following:

• Discover individual learning styles

• Learn organizational and time management skills

• Master study strategies and methods for absorbing information

• Become engaged through a multisensory learning experience

Meet the Instructor

This course will be presented by Leslie Winter, M.S. Leslie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science from Sterling College (Sterling, KS) and a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Wyoming (Laramie, WY). She has worked as an educational diagnostician, reading specialist, and home school educator. She is currently the Learning Specialist at St. Bernard Academy where she began their formal study skills program.

Additional Course Information

This course is for middle school students only. This will be a hands-on learning experience; therefore, we suggest students bring a binder, notebook, and writing utensils.
